BlackBerry Messenger: recipient cannot receive or open the attachment

If you are unable to receive pictures, photo’s or other files via the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) and the sender of the message receives an error stating something similar to ‘recipient cannot receive or open the attachment’ you should check if you have a problem with the content encryption on your media card.

It seems BBM uses the media card (if present) for storage by default. If there is some problem with the content encryption on that card there will be a problem storing/receiving files. The solution, again, is to format the media card.
